At Darkhorse we try to stay young and cool at all costs, and one of those costs is being avid sneaker collectors. Thats why we were so happy to be involved with the Sneaker Games event that merges Sneakers and another one of our loves, Video Games.
The client had a vision and not much of a budget and we came through with some fresh art and signage. #Counterwrap was done with lo-tac vinyl and the step and repeat design welcomed the incoming peeps. We made easels for the free standing signage and also made some cool floor graphics where people could show off their new kicks.
Sneaker Games came to NYC at Pier 36. This one was a lot bigger in terms of the celebrities and guests who made an appearance. Some of our main contributions to the NYC event included a variety of fabric banners. One of the most popular being a collage of lots of different streetwear brands – Adidas, nike, off-white, and more. Around the time of this event, rapper Nipsey Hussle passed away. To commemorate his passing, we made another fabric banner featuring him and one of his quotes. The streetwear and Sneaker Games community loved this and it was definitely a big hit.
